The Turkey eVisa is an electronic travel authorization linked to your passport, applied for online. It is issued by the Republic of Turkey for short-term visits. Validity, stay duration, and entry type depend on your nationality. Eligible travelers from 37 countries can apply through turkvisas.com.
Travelers from 37 eligible nationalities. The list splits into two paths: Tier 1 Direct (22 countries, passport only) and Tier 2 Conditional (15 countries, passport plus a valid Schengen, US, UK, or Ireland visa or residence permit). Tier 1 Direct nationalities (such as Mexico, Vietnam, South Africa, Taiwan, Maldives, Hong Kong BN(O), Dominican Republic, Jamaica) need only their passport. Tier 2 Conditional nationalities (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Egypt) must additionally hold a valid Schengen, US, UK, or Ireland visa or residence permit. Both groups apply through the same online process.
Three processing speeds are available. Express is the fastest. Most applications are approved within 24 business hours, regardless of the speed selected. Some unusual cases require additional verification by Turkish immigration authorities and may take longer.

Yes. Every traveler entering Turkey needs an individual eVisa linked to their own passport, regardless of age. Each child files a separate application. For Tier 2 Conditional nationalities, each child must also hold an independent qualifying visa or be a dependent on one.
It depends on your nationality. Tier 2 Conditional nationalities receive single entry, 30 days stay, 180-day validity. Tier 1 Direct nationalities receive single or multiple entry, with 30 or 90 days stay per visit, depending on their country's specific terms. Your nationality page lists the exact spec.

No. The Turkey eVisa is for tourism, visiting friends and family, business meetings, and conferences. It does not permit paid employment or formal study programs. Work permits and student visas are separate classes and must be applied for at a Turkish consulate.
Apply with the passport you will actually travel on. The eVisa is linked to your passport number, so a different number on the new book will not match. Wait for the new passport before applying.
Recommended. Although Turkish e-gates can pull up your eVisa electronically at major airports, immigration officers may ask for a printed copy at land borders, smaller airports, and during airline check-in. Keep both a printed copy and a saved PDF on your phone.
