Sunrise hot air balloons over Cappadocia, Bosphorus yacht receptions, and luxury beachfront resorts at a fraction of European prices, all backed by visa support for entire baraats.
Bollywood & OTT shoots
40+
major Indian productions filmed across Turkey, from Istanbul rooftops to Pamukkale
Turkey is the most-used non-European location for Hindi cinema. Travelers chase the locations they grew up watching, with full halal kitchens and growing Indian restaurants in Istanbul, Antalya, and Cappadocia.
Easy from any metro

Before you fly
Things every Indian traveler should know about Turkey.
INR will not exchange there
Carry USD or EUR for currency exchange in Turkey. Indian Rupees are not accepted at exchange counters. Indian debit and credit cards work at most ATMs and shops.
Halal default, veg friendly
Almost all restaurants serve halal meat. Vegetarians get plenty of options in mezes, pide, gözleme, dolma, and kumpir, plus Indian restaurants in Istanbul, Antalya, and Cappadocia.
Adapter, not converter
Turkey uses Type F outlets at 220V. Most modern Indian chargers (phones, laptops) are dual voltage, a simple plug adapter is enough.
Time and weather
Turkey is 2.5 hours behind India. Best months for Indians are April to June and September to October, avoiding both the Indian monsoon and the Turkish winter.
Questions, answered
Turkey eVisa FAQ for Indian travelers.
Yes. Indian passport holders are eligible for the Turkey eVisa only if they hold a valid Schengen, US, UK, or Ireland visa or residence permit at the time of travel. Without one of these supporting documents, you must apply for a sticker visa at a Turkish consulate in India.
Yes. Both UK Indefinite Leave to Remain and Ireland Stamp 4 count as valid residence permits and qualify you for the Turkey eVisa. A US Green Card and Schengen long-stay residence permit also qualify.
No. The OCI card is an Indian government document and not a foreign visa or residence permit. Turkey does not consider OCI status when issuing eVisas. You apply on your Indian passport, and the Schengen, US, UK, or Ireland visa or residence permit requirement still applies.
Yes. Every traveler, including infants and minors, needs an individual eVisa linked to their own Indian passport. Each child must also independently hold a valid Schengen, US, UK, or Ireland visa or residence permit on their own passport, or be the dependent on a qualifying visa, depending on the issuing country's rules.
Single entry only. Indian passport holders receive a 180 days validity window from the date of issue, within which they can enter Turkey once and stay up to 30 days. To re-enter, a new eVisa is required.
Not on the eVisa. The 30 days limit per entry is fixed. To stay longer, you must exit Turkey and apply for a different visa class (such as a longer-term tourist visa or a residence permit) from a Turkish consulate. Overstaying triggers fines and a future entry ban.
Three processing speeds are available. Express is the fastest. Most Indian applications are approved within 24 business hours, regardless of the speed selected. See the pricing card on this page for details.
From USD 120 all-inclusive, with all government fees, document review, support, and tracking included. Three processing speeds are offered: Standard at USD 120, Priority at USD 149, and Express at USD 179. Pricing is in USD only. Indian cards are accepted, your bank converts INR to USD at the prevailing rate at the time of payment.
Turkish Airlines operates daily nonstops from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to Istanbul. IndiGo and Air India also serve the route. Flight time runs 7 to 9 hours depending on the city. Istanbul Airport is one of Europe's largest hubs and connects to onward European, Middle Eastern, and African destinations.
Turkey is overwhelmingly halal-friendly by default. Almost all restaurants serve halal meat unless otherwise specified. Vegetarian options are plentiful in modern cities like Istanbul, Antalya, and Bodrum: mezes, pide, gözleme, dolma, kumpir, and a growing number of dedicated Indian restaurants. Jain travelers may want to pre-confirm specific restaurants in advance.
Yes, provided your old passport is still valid (not expired or cancelled) and you carry both passports together. Many Indian travelers carry an old passport holding a valid Schengen visa alongside a renewed travel passport. Turkish immigration accepts this combination. The eVisa itself is linked to the passport number you plan to travel on.
Your supporting visa or residence permit must be valid at the time of your entry into Turkey. If it expires while you are inside Turkey, you can complete your stay and exit normally, but you cannot re-enter Turkey on the same eVisa, and your next Turkey eVisa application will require a fresh qualifying document.
